Round 1 of Doxy Complete

Tomorrow, Thursday December 15, I finish my last day of Doxycycline.

What does that mean for me? Well, it can be a good thing, or a bad thing. It will all depend on if the 30 days got rid of the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria in my body. If it did, I'm done, if it didn't, I have a possible long road ahead.

Do I feel like the bacteria are gone? No. I still have symptoms. My legs are still very twitchy and getting sharp pains shooting in them. I have not been having depression, mood swings, feelings that I'm going to have a seizure, and the unsteady on my feet feeling for about 10 days. My memory seems to be pretty sharp this past week and energy levels are good. So, that's great! I hope once I am off the antibiotic, those symptoms do not return as those were the worst. I'm grateful that I haven't been dealing with them.

So, I don't have much to report still. I'm just typing thoughts . . .

I do have the names of 2 Lyme literate doctors, (LLMD's) in case I continue to have symptoms. One is in Weaverville, just 40 miles from us. The other is in Sacramento.

I see Herb's infectious disease doctor next Wednesday but, I do not have a lot of expectations that he will treat me. When we talked on the phone, I could tell he was of the mindset that once I have the 1 month of Doxy, I should be healed and that any continuing symptoms are simply in your head. Many people are then given antidepressants and sent to counseling. We'll see.

So, there you have an update!
I don't think anyone even knows this blog is here as I haven't advertised it yet...guess I figure if I keep this Lyme to myself, it won't get bigger, it might not even exist... and I won't have to answer any questions!

If you read it, feel free to comment!

"Renae, be of good cheer;
your faith has made you well.
Go in peace."
