I went back to the neurologist who first diagnosed me November 17th. I told him about my symptoms, with a prayer and a hope that he would indeed acknowledge that I just might still have Lyme Disease. However, I was very disappointed when he said, "You had your month of antibiotic, you're finished, it's all gone." As he said it, he motioned a 'cut off' sign with a flat, pointed hand held out, a swish to the right with an abrupt stop mid air. "GONE."
He left the room and returned with 4 boxes of Cymbalta antidepressant medication. Heavy sigh.
Tears welled. Oh please emotions, not NOW! I managed to choke them back until I got to my car, where I unleashed them and let them roll.
I do NOT believe ANY of this is anxiety. Although, anxiety is a symptom of Lyme disease . . . but I think that is because this kind of lack of treatment would naturally cause anxiety in most people!

This is so frustrating. So frightening. So...unlike if I had ANY other disease in the world! If I had cancer, they'd be setting me up with an oncologist for chemo, radiation, for all kinds of tests... but not for Lyme! If you have Lyme disease, you get dismissed as if you have a common cold virus that nothing can be done about.
I feel defeated. I feel discounted and fearful.
So, my next step? I think I'll call the doctor in Weaverville who treats Lyme patients and see what he says.
That's all for tonight....I am depressed.. . .

And He said,
"Renae, be of good cheer;
your faith has made you well.
Go in peace."
