Second Week off the Antibiotic!

Well, here I am. Two weeks with no antibiotics. How do I feel? GREAT! Well, sorta. My legs are still a little twitchy, but either I'm just getting used to it or, it truly is calming down. Either way, less is more!

I have had a HORRENDOUS stiff and achy neck all week long though. It's like I have someone's fist pressing into my left shoulder blade constantly, causing a horrible pain that radiates up my neck and stops me in my tracks if I move just the wrong way. Weird. I have gone to the chiro, had a shoulder massage and an adjustment. He told me I was having severe muscle spasms. Duh. . . I get that, I feel that! Now... can you fix that? Well, he tried. The massage felt amazing, and I do think it helped, but very temporarily.

This started over a week ago, I had the chiro appointment Friday, today is Sunday and I am in constant pain. Scale of 1-10, I'd say I'm at least a 7.5. Yea, it's bad.  Sometimes, just swallowing pulls the muscle enough to make me flinch in pain.

I looked in my "The Green Pharmacy Herbal Handbook" and read all about herbal muscle relaxers and things to do for pain. I happened to have several of the herbs already here at home! Yay!!

One of the remedies was to make a ginger tea solution and put a towel in it, and put it on the sore muscle. I happened to have a bottle of Ginger capsules. So, I opened and dumped four of them into a bowl, put about a cup of water and microwaved it 45 seconds. I took a folded wash cloth and placed it in the bowl and let it soak up the ginger solution. Then, I took a piece of Press 'n Seal wrap, cut at least 3 inches larger than the folded wash cloth, placed the cloth saturated with the ginger 'tea' in the center of the STICKY SIDE of the Press 'n Seal. Then, I placed it on my sore muscle on my back and pressed the Press 'n Seal  so it stuck to my skin.  That held the heat in, kept any drips from running down my back and it felt OH SO GOOD! Did it help? Well, for about 30 minutes it soothed the pain, but I'm in a lot of pain once again.

Is this a Lyme Symptom? Well, who knows? It could be, it might not be. How do I know? One of the main symptoms of Lyme Disease is muscle pain and joint pain.

But, in reality, we ALL have muscle and joint pain, especially when we're 55! So, the Lord knows what this is all about and I'm just going to trust that He has a purpose for it, that He is going to heal it and if it turns chronic, I trust that he will help me deal with it!

I just know that I'm in pain and I've never had this kind of pain that lasted so long. But, that still doesn't confirm it's Lyme Disease. So, I'll just keep trying new muscle relaxer remedies and natural anti inflammatory herbs.

Lord, help me work this out! I really want to ride my bike today!!!! Like RIGHT NOW! Maybe I just need to go do it. :)

your faith has made you well.
Go in peace."
